The Street Festival would not be possible without volunteers. Each year, community members step up to help create a welcoming, vibrant event that celebrates local art, music, and culture in Fort Nelson.
Volunteering is a great way to support the arts, meet new people, and be part of something meaningful in your community. Whether you have a few hours or can help throughout the day, every contribution makes a difference.
What volunteers help with
Volunteers may assist with:
- Event setup and takedown
- Greeting visitors and helping with wayfinding
- Supporting artists, performers, and vendors
- Assisting at information tables or activity areas
- Helping keep the event running smoothly and safely
No special experience is required. Training and guidance will be provided, and tasks will be matched to your comfort level and availability.
Who can volunteer
We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Youth, adults, families, and seniors are encouraged to participate. If you have specific skills or accessibility needs, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
Why volunteer
By volunteering, you are:
- Supporting local artists and performers
- Helping build a stronger, more connected community
- Gaining experience and volunteer hours
- Being part of a fun, inclusive community event
