Community Art Project

The Community Art Project is a shared creative experience at the Street Festival that invites people of all ages and backgrounds to take part in making something together.

Rather than focusing on individual artists, the Community Art Project is about connection, participation, and creativity. It offers festival-goers the chance to contribute to a collective piece or activity that reflects the spirit of the community.

What to expect

The Community Art Project may include:

  • A hands-on art activity open to the public
  • A collaborative artwork created throughout the day
  • Guided or self-directed creative participation
  • An accessible, drop-in experience for all ages

No prior experience is required. Everyone is welcome to take part at their own comfort level.

Why it matters

The Community Art Project creates space for people to slow down, connect, and create together. It encourages creative expression, conversation, and shared experience, making the festival more inclusive and interactive.

The finished work may be displayed during the festival or shared afterward as a reflection of the community’s involvement.

Who can participate

The project is open to:

  • Children, youth, and adults
  • Individuals, families, and groups
  • People of all skill levels

All materials and guidance will be provided unless otherwise noted.

Join in

Stop by the Community Art Project area during the festival and add your voice to a collective creative experience. Whether you participate for a few minutes or longer, your contribution helps shape the spirit of the Street Festival.
